For organisations that hold NZQA unit standards

Manage unit standards from NZQA to graduate results.

Standards Manager keeps every unit standard you hold current, helps you write and moderate assessments, and records each learner's results against the criteria.

Standards Manager

Your standards

Everything about the standards you hold, in one place.

FeatureWhat it does
Unit standards registerEvery unit standard you hold in one list. Filter by domain, year and NZQA status (current, retiring or retired). Each row shows moderation, results and assessment resource status.
Import from NZQABrings a unit standard in from NZQA's published details so you don't retype it.
Standard overviewOne page per standard: version, level, level descriptor, CMR reference, currency status and consent to assess.
Consent to assess checkChecks each standard against your NZQA consent so you can see which ones you're allowed to assess.
Currency watchChecks each standard's status about once a week and warns you when one is being revised, retired or replaced. If it can't tell, it says so rather than guessing.
CMR store and refreshKeeps each standard's CMR on file and pulls the latest version when it changes.
Quick search and setup checklistFinds any standard fast, and walks a new user through getting set up.

Standards Manager

Writing assessments

Author, store and approve the assessment materials for each standard.

FeatureWhat it does
Assessment resource libraryUpload, preview and approve assessment resources and assessor guides. Keeps several versions, with one marked as the default.
AI assessment draftingDrafts an assessment resource, assessor guide or field observation sheet from the standard's CMR and your reference material. You review it, then approve, reject or regenerate.
Reference materialsKeeps the files and links behind each standard's assessment.
PDF exportsPrint-ready PDFs of the resource, a pre-moderation report and a field observation sheet.
Assessment prep coursesTurns an approved assessment into a short learning course that gets students ready before they're assessed.

Standards Manager

Moderation

Check assessments before use and review learner work afterwards.

FeatureWhat it does
Moderation hubThe year's moderation work in one place: what's due, what's in progress and recent activity.
AI pre-moderationChecks an assessment against each criterion before it's used, suggests fixes and produces a report. A person confirms every judgement.
Post-moderationUpload learner work, moderate it against the standard, then record and report the actions needed.
Moderation discussion linksSecure links for discussing a moderation with someone outside your organisation.
Moderation historyA full record of past moderation for audit and review.

Standards Manager

FeatureWhat it does

ClientsRecords of the schools or partners you deliver for.
LearnersLearner records and the unit standards each learner is working on. A learner doesn't need to be in a cohort.

Student assessment linksGives each student a secure link to complete their assessment online.
Marking queueShows assessors what is waiting to be marked.
Bulk results entryEnter or upload a whole group's results at once.

Standards Manager

Reporting

Results and decisions you can export and trace back.

FeatureWhat it does
Outcomes registerResults across every delivery by year, with learner details, ready to export.
Judgements reportEvery criterion decision, filterable by result and source.
Reference registerThe rule sets the system judges against (moderation criteria, NZQF level descriptors and CMR content), so every decision can be traced back.

Part of Calibr

Each part works on its own, and together they share one record.

Some AI features are switched on per organisation or per course, so what you see depends on how your instance is set up.

See it on a real provider

AdventureWorks runs on Calibr end to end. Bring a real question and we'll show you how it's handled.
